Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 1, 2026  ·  Last updated: October 1, 2026

This policy explains what FitCalc ("we", "us") does and does not collect when you use this website. The short version: we almost nothing. The calculators run in your browser and your numbers stay there.

Information we do not collect

The values you type into any calculator — age, sex, height, weight, body measurements and results — are processed locally by JavaScript on your device. They are never transmitted to us, and we cannot see them. We do not require registration, there are no user accounts, and we do not ask for your name or email to use a tool.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs. Like virtually every website, our host records IP addresses, browser type, referring page and timestamps for security and troubleshooting.
  • Local storage. Your browser keeps your unit preference and last-used inputs so the form refills next visit. This data lives on your device and can be cleared at any time.
  • Analytics. If analytics are enabled, we measure aggregated traffic such as page views and country-level location. Reports are statistical and never identified with you personally.
  • Web fonts. Pages load the Inter typeface from Google Fonts so text renders consistently across devices. Requesting a font file discloses your IP address and user agent to Google.

Cookies and advertising

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve advertisements on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party cookies generally through the privacy settings of your browser, or via industry opt-out pages operated in the EU and UK.

Children's privacy

FitCalc is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will remove it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to personal data we hold, ask for corrections, or request deletion. Because we hold almost none, requests are usually resolved immediately — write to the address on our contact page.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page as the site grows. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top. Please review it periodically.
